Thanks for that. Wasn’t looking for anything specific. Sounds like you like it. I have a solar GShock that I use regularly. I just leave it on a window in my bedroom when not worn. Keeps it fully charged even during gray Chicago winter.

Nice!!! Best one I’ve seen in awhile. That’s over 1k us on eBay easy.

    I love mine.

Thanks @Waxtactic and @Foo2rama . I believe its a 6117-8000. Don’t have the original bracelet and trying to search on ebay to see if i can get one somewhere :). Been looking for this for a long time and glad found this. Have come to the conclusion (even if its only my first visit) that Tokyo is the place to buy good vintage seiko’s,

Its a 6117-8000. Original bracelets are basically non existent. they where cheaply made, and if you do find one they tend to have few links (ie adjusted small and missing the extras) and are unwearable. Nice for collecting and reselling but even if you have an original bracelet you wouldn't actually wear it.

Thanks. You saved me from buying a watch on eBay just for the bracelet.

Mines currently on brown ostrich. Yours is leagues better then mine though. My bezel is a tad rough and my case is only OK.

Here's a Grand Seiko I photographed in my hand at the jeweler. It's ceramic with ceramic segments in the band. Price is around 15-16k USD.

Just arrived today from ebay. Took a chance on this one based on not very good pictures or description. Turned out well. 6139-6005 with resist dial from March 1971.

Great thread. Good to know Seiko is well regarded here. I've killed many cheaper autos over the years using them as work watches - they put up a good fight. Got this for its durability 10 years ago. Titanium and Sapphire crystal, not high end but indestructible. Have my eye on some of the fine examples in this thread. Thanks for posting. 20181221_114957.jpg
