Mr.Bliss
·HELLO OF FRIENDS,
IN ALMOST STUNNING CONDITION I AM OFFERING MY VERY RARE SEIKO ONE-PUSHER CHRONOGRAPH --- FRESHLY SERVICED OCTOBER 2021.
The first Seiko chronograph to be introduced at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics- an event that symbolized a new era for Seiko, and for all of Japan.
Seiko was the official timekeeper of the 18th Olympics, developing 36 models and 1,278 timing devices to be used at the Games, overseen by specially trained Seiko staff.
The manually wound calibre 5717 movement was the brand’s first mechanical caliber. It was developed by "Suwa Seikosha" and was a column-wheel 3-stroke movement-
engaged and disengaged by a coupling wheel, as opposed to the vertical clutch.
The 3 chrono functions, start, stop and reset are controlled by a single push button.
This example would have been among the last produced prior to the arrival of the automatic 6139.
