Love these early Seiko watches. This movement was an early water resistant super thin model. Your reference J14069 had this unusual black vinyl dial, but the absence of any print on your dial suggests it was repainted/overpainted at some point. Some references below. Liner was only produced for couple of years early 60s as mid level model below the GS First.

Hi SOG53..it has the printed font..its not very visible on these pictures...its running nicely and is gaining about 30 seconds a day, so I'm not going to bother regulating it..on the wrist its very comfortable

It's hard to see the printing on the dial in your photos.

Edit: BTW, gold-filled, not gold-capped.

Photo from one of above articles showing clear printing. Do you have photo showing print more clearly? Maybe dial was cleaned and print was partially removed? I can barely see traces on the enlarged photo of your watch.

I'll take some photos...i must say that I've seen pics like that where the font is white..mine is a brownish colour, whether its because mine is an SD dial, I don't know..

The lighting and angle will likely make a significant difference with photo.

Thanks Dan S...yes it looks far better in that close up..in reality you can barely see it on the wrist..and the vinyl look with the grooves is also very difficult to see in normal conditions...very subtle.Yea gold filled rather than capped, its very comfortable to wear..but that's mostly thd strap, but it definitely doesn't snag on shirt cuffs being so thin
