    Hi All

I was doing a bit of a clear out last week and I came across this in a drawer. I was given it as a gift 22 years ago. It wasn't running and I was unsure how long it had been stopped for so I popped the back off stuck a new battery in and its working perfectly, keeping time to the second.

I remember at the time being fascinated by it, the chronograph function and the countdown timer and wore it 24/7. I've been looking for some info on the net about it but can't find much. Can anyone tell me anything about it, I assume quite a few were produced?
    Regards

You might have to try a dedicated Seiko Forum for answers.

    Never fear -

Here's a link to a Tech Sheet on this movement:

You can tell the age on almost any Seiko very easily. On the back, there should be a serial number. The first digit is the year of production (you have to know the decade). The second digit is the month of production (they use "O", "N" and "D" for the last 3 months). The rest is just a serial number.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks gatorcpa for taking the time to provide this link, it's an interesting read. Now I'll have a go at putting a proper date to it.
    Regards Matt.
