Up for sale is my Seiko 6139 chronograph, aka, the Blue Pogue, so-called for Colonel William Pogue, who made the Seiko 6139 the first automatic chronograph worn in space.

For starters, the serial number on the case back dates the production of this watch to April 1970, which is consistent with the case being notched above the crown which is a feature used from 1969-1970, the two-piece seconds hand, and the Resist-Resist markings on the dial and case back (The case back features the "water resist" marking, hence the nickname "Double Resist" among Seiko Collectors. This marking was used from about February 1970-May 1970 before Seiko started to use the marking "Water Resistant" The short period of use makes this a very rare model among the Seiko 6139 lineup). The result is that this an example of Seiko's first automatic chronograph made within the first 12 months of production. A rare find indeed!

Watch runs strong, faded bezel with a perfect condition crystal!

    Comes on a NATO

Asking $400 shipped CONUS via PayPal.
