For sale today is my Seiko 6138 Panda. The watch is in very original condition and running great. Recently serviced by national Seiko expert, Seth @Hub City Vintage, and running perfectly. Crystal has been replaced with NOS unit at some point, otherwise everything is original. No aftermarket dials or hands here, just pure Vintage Seiko goodness. The watch comes on correct vintage Seiko bracelet (fits my 7.25" wrist perfectly) and a Rover Haven Arts & Crafts strap in distressed Navy Horween shell cordovan. The strap is 75/115 and just fits my 7.25" wrist on the loosest hole. You probably know that these watches have an inconvenient 19 mm lug width, so it's nice to have a custom made strap for it. I took all of these pictures just today for this post. The serial number has been intentionally obscured in the caseback photo to guard against future scammers. The case has minor scratches on it, about what you'd expect for a 40-year old watch. The worst scratch is on the 5:00 lug and was there when I got the watch a few years ago. The case appears to me to be unpolished, but I am not an expert watchmaker, so treat this as my experienced opinion, not a documented fact. The dial is perfect. I can find no flaws whatsoever. The crown and pushers are correct, and the chronograph mechanism starts, stops, and resets perfectly. This is a no-issues Panda. $1600 USD or very next offer by PayPal. I'll ship internationally at my discretion and at your expense and risk. Otherwise, USPS Priority Mail shipping and PayPal fees are included in that price. No trade offers please. I am a private collector and not a dealer, so returns will not be accepted unless the watch proves materially different than I've described it here. Please take this into consideration before making an offer. I have many good references here and elsewhere. I want to make your experience a no-hassles one, and will treat you the way I'd want to be treated as a buyer. I'll expect the same treatment from you. Thanks for looking. Thank you Bigsom! This watch is now on hold pending funds. Thanks to OF for this great resource. Myron
That was fast! Unsurprising, it's a great example! Nice to see an original dial in that pristine condition!
Wow! When did the 6138 get so collectable? I remember looking for one of these on ebay years ago because I couldn't afford a modern Hamilton 7750 based chrono and the Seiko's were running $200-400 at the time depending on condition. Very nice watch!
Haha, thanks guys! It is a beauty specimen. Fun to have owned and experienced one, but you can't keep 'em all. Thank you buyer and OF for this great resource. Myron
