Bracelet? Any thoughts or comments? Better pictures are here: Seiko UFO 6138-0011 (SOLD) - Abell Watchmakers watch service, repair and sales The AtomiclabRat
Did you buy it, given it is showing as sold? I can't answer your question in afraid but I am intrigued to see if anyone else can and does because I've been wondering if anyone here has a side interest in vintage Seikos...
I think the only decent vintage Seiko I have is this 4006-6031 Bell-matic. And finding many parts for it is a PITA.
That is a nice seiko. So, the hands and dial appear to be original. Now to see if Abell Watchmakers can get it running
Many here with Seikos and vintage Seikos @JimInOz has started getting a few and done a great job on a service, repair and relume on one of mine. Even labeled it the "rat bezel"
Watch looks to be in reasonable condition. Dial and hands are original, I would leave the original lume as it matches the age of the dial. If the lume isn't stable any more I would re-lume with tinted lume.
Look at any re lumed vintage Speedmaster. Professionally done "tinted lume" or backyard deception done AKA " coffee lume "
In addition to tints added by someone doing the lume job with tea or some other colouring agent, they are actually made this way by the lume manufacturers. As you can see from this chart, the various colours will have different intensities: Cheers, Al
