Hi all. New arrival here...or at least it feels that way. Actually bought it last summer (not running on eBay) and immediately sent it to my watchmaker....until it re-arrived this week!

Anyway, I really like this one...the size, style, history but am really wondering about the case. Note: The condition of the case did not even cross my mind last year when I bought it, so the fact that I am thinking about such things now is progress....or so I am telling myself.

So, how polished is it? I have never seen another one of these in person plus I am still very unsure of my ability to catch over-polished examples based on pictures unless someone is pointing out the telltale signs. Further making things difficult (for me) is that this particular case, in perfect shape, seems to be somewhat soft and curvy in terms of its case edges.

Please share your thoughts on the case.....and/or anything else that catches your eye. I did not spend much on this watch so won't be crushed if it isn't perfect...or worse. Thanks!

Edges look good to me. I would not call it over polished. These are very round to begin with. If the brush marks match other examples looks like a good score.

Looks like a great example 👍. It also has the longer seconds hand which was often seen on the earlier 6105-8000 models I believe.

Replacement crystal with blue AR?

Very nice. Case may be a bit soft from wear but I can't see any sign of over polishing. The movement looks to be in great nick too, some that age are really marked and dirty. Dial and hands are in super condition.

Thanks. Will have to study the seconds hand variation. I had not noticed that.

As for the crystal, I have mixed feelings. Not sure I really intended to replace the original with a sapphire, so may change back if it can be polished enough to do the watch justice. Appreciate the feedback.

Thanks as always Jim. With you, Foo2rama, and Pascs not being too concerned with over-polishing, I feel I can relax and be less paranoid!
