The watch looks attractive, but is it a collectible one? Also the case looks like its been polished, correct?

Redial. The SWISS MADE is too high and too far apart. No need for me to look any further.

$150 to $200 on ebay. Movement looks clean.
What's going on with that crown?
I like the watch. Looks like the "Made" is also a bit too far from the 6

Honestly, I know it would go for more than $150-$200 on Ebay - but not because of the qualities of the watch. Rather, it would be because of the quality of the photos.

..... and the lack of knowledge of the average eBay buyer.

I looked at the dial again, I see what you mean about Swiss Made. It does take experience to spot that. A novice like me would have been fooled.

You wouldn't be the first, and you certainly won't be the last. That's one of the reasons forums like this exist. Know the rules, learn the exceptions, and when all else fails ask for some opinions. Even the experienced guys ask each other for a second and third set of eyes.

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Ok. Lets keep playing. Looking at this one, "Swiss made" seems to be correct, but is it also a redial?

A better effort, but probably a redial nonetheless. This one takes a little more advanced knowledge - the LONGINES is a little to the left of the winged hourglass logo. If it appears off center at all, it should be a little to the right so the S seems too far out. Now, it could be that somebody removed the dial furniture and cleaned the dial and stripped the clear coat, but I'd pass on it anyway.

I am learning a lot here. Dennis, you should teach classes on this subject.

But then I'd want to get paid, and that would make me a professional. Why f::censored:: up a perfectly good hobby by making it a job? :p
