The second markers always plays tricks with my eyes. How do you guys differentiate between the actual and redials Do you guys notice the uneven marking between 11 and 12 o clock? is it just the angle of the the pic?
This is a dome dial reprinted with a pie pan template. The minute/second track on dome dial is circle while it's twelve sided on the piepan. Also, it's missing the 5 minute markers.
That is the nature of the piepan dials as the minute marks transition in alignment from one arrowhead marker to another.
Thanks for the clarification Mike. Also Is the brushed look around the corner of the dial is also pie pan thing. comparing the dial above to the dial below does it mean as TNT mentioned the one above is redial?
Yes, I mean the first one is a redial. It doesn't look like a piepan dial at all to me. PS: Not sure what Mike meant, but piepan dials all have very prominent printed 5 minute markers that align pretty well with the applied hour markers. This one does not have those printed ones.
Seems PP dials should have sharp line all around the dial between minute markers and hour markers. First picture missing the sharp line
C....do you have other picture of the first deluxe? I am really curious........ This is mine with similar onyx marker, but with dog leg lugs later case. .
Not necessarily...I have a domed dial with arrow markers that is brushed around the outside of the dial...
