Second Hand Strange Movement on Aquaterra Quartz

The second hand on my Aquaterra quartz has started to jump four seconds ahead, then stop (for what I imagine is four seconds, and then jumps ahead again another four seconds. Anyone ever seen this? It's going back to Omega since it's under warranty but I thought it odd for a high end watch to do this.
BTW, I don't wear it much. Just on the weekend and maybe to work once a week, maybe.

No need to send back to Omega for warranty repair - as others said, it’s the indicator that the battery is going bad. Happens occasionally, even on “new” watches. The AD should be able to put in a new battery for free.

This indicates that the voltage on the battery has dropped below 1.3 Volts. Time to get the battery changed - I recommend doing it soon.

AD-Authorized Omega Dealer
An OB-Omega Boutique can also do this for you
