Seascape Sumo
Seiko Prospex Solar GMT employs a new in-house calibre 5K65 that is solar-powered and features a GMT hand. This is the first ever Seiko to feature both solar and GMT functions

Very nice isn't it.
Saw it in the NH newsletter and then remembered my Son was thinking of getting one in early March.
He ended up getting a deal on an SSC911 though.

Probably the most photographed watch on Instagram I see lately… 😉

Well, in your job a GMT would be handy, and you get plenty of free watch power up that way, so...........

General question for all these Seiko-maniacs.....
What are the all the Seiko models you wise and noble gentlemen would recommend for a small-wristed guy like me?

Don't get fooled by Avatar picture here, I just acted that way ......

I vote one of the 6105 or 62MAS reissues - the SPB317 for example!

the SKX or the 5kx wear small for their 42mm size. you can hunt for a SKX013 the mid size SKX.

more vintage.. a 6117-8000 or any of the GMT watches from the late 60's wear well.

First of all, I like to express my heartfelt apologies to @STANDY and @JimInOz for posting my questions on Seiko watches in general in this thread (Seascape Sumo). Of course, the mistake was not intentional more like stupidity.

I also like to thank @Foo2rama and @Dsloan for your advice and I am following them.

Seiko are bringing out a 38mm size of the aforementioned 5KX model which may be preferable to you: https://www.fratellowatches.com/han...-look-at-the-srpk29-srpk31-srpk33-and-srpk35/

It's also a relatively trim (compared to the bigger version) 12.1mm which is nice.

At risk of further hijacking the thread on the very cool sumo GMT, some pics of the references I mentioned.

I love the looks on that SPB317, especially the date window. Its not a cheap watch by any means, but it is on my list. I think I can do it, it has slightly shorter lug-to-lug than the Reduced Marimemaster SBDC125.
Thank you for sharing @Dsloan.

You guys are making me want a Seiko now. I saw one I really liked awhile ago but the price put me off. I guess these mid-range options offer a ton of value I just have a hard time with a Seiko for over a thousand for some reason.

Some of them are very fun for the price point. My curse lately has been fighting the urge to buy 4-5 fun Seikos... Or save up for another vintage piece.

FWIW, I usually wait for a few months after these models are released and grab them used or on sale. It's not uncommon to find some of them marked down 20-40% if you time it right. Though, that may mean missing out smaller run limited editions.
