Search for a bracelet

A few weeks ago I posted about my vintage Seamaster. After some advice here and from a repairer I am looking to buy either a flatlink 18mm or a BOR which is appropriate for this model. Can anyone point me to one for sale which has the appropriate endlinks because I am worried about buying something that doesnt fit. Also where is best to try and sell the broken original bracelet which would be good for spares if someone was rebuilding one? Cheers, Baz

eBay is likely your best bet for selling the broken original bracelet.

Aye I thought that. Not sure what it would fetch but the links or parts might be worth a few quid. The clasp is generic as the original was broken beyond repair.

I saw that list but there doesnt seem to be numbers on this. When it was away being serviced they offered to put a new bracelet on but it was too expensive. I tried to ask them about it again and they too wanted a reference number which I dont have.

The reference number is inside the case-back. Maybe the reference number is on the paperwork from the service. Anyway, we can't tell you the correct bracelet without it, but we might be able to guess the reference number with some good photos from various angles.

At the very least, you should show the numbers on the endlinks, since that gives information about the profile of the case. It would be nice if you could try a little harder to help us help you. "Hi, I have a Seamaster, what bracelet do I need?" isn't going to cut it.

Or if you want to just give it a shot, a good bet would be a 7-row BoR with #70 endlinks.

As I said in our DM and posting here;

Ok so they look to be No.7 endlinks. I would expect your bracelet was originally a 7912 which was the 18/19mm bracelet used in the early to mid 60’s. The 1035 replaced the 7912 in the mid-late 60’s for 18/19mm lugs.
If you want to replace it like for like you’d need a 7912. A 1035 would be around 5 years later than your 7912 but should work and they’re slightly cheaper; £400-600 for a 1035 vs £600-1000 for a 7912.
The cheaper option would be to source a 5 row beads of rice which can be found for around £200

Im just posting it here for prosperity in case anyone has a different opinion or if others have a similar question in the future. Obviously no one can see our DM except the two of us.

7912 bracelet looks to be out of pricerange so it is likely to be a BOR that I will have to go for unless anyone has something more affordable. Can the endlinks on the existing one be utilised if I source one without end links?
