Can you please tell me a little something about this watch? Is it genuine, rough date of manufacture etc? Thanks in advance for any tidbits you are able to offer.

If the case back is to be believed, it looks to be a 1952 gold cap Seamaster.

I'm not sure when omega switched from bumper movements to the full rotor. I'm sure an expert here will know better than I. Very possible this watch is original. The dial looks unadulterated. I would guess the case has been polished.

If it is 2846 than this is the description below. Truthfully not really sure if a 2848 or 2846, picture is difficult to see at that angle. Only the OP can tell us for sure what it is and than there will be no more mystery. But looks at the specs, way too close to make that much of a difference.

    Hi all,
I just bought a new case for restore my 2848 Seamaster but the bezel is missing. Could someone give the measure please? (Inner and outer diameter plus height).
Despite my search i found nothing!

Hi, you may get a lot more attention if you started your own thread. This will most likely be seen only by those who answered in this thread. Do yourself a favor and repost this as a separate issue.

Oh I also have one of these. But with a bit less patina on the dial. Check Ofrei and Cousins UK for parts. It may come down to find it on eBay or a donor watch. I know Ofrei does not have the crystal for this reference. But may have other parts. They still have the proper crown in stock. Just bought one.

There is a pink gold plated version still available from Omega - part number is 082CE2848. I suppose you could always polish off the plating...
