    Hello Experts

Stumbled across this forum which has been a Waltham of knowledge so far.

Newbie here who has decided to get my vintage Omega Seamaster working that was from my Dad and been sitting for 10 years in my drawer. (Photos below) My Dad had it for I reckon at least 35 years. Obviously I will be taking it to a watchmaker soon.

I have no idea what type/value it has but would like to know this so I can assess against the cost of getting it up and running. At the moment the crown turns the hour hand and the date but the minute hand is not turning. Obviously will need a battery but hope it’s not corroded in there?

Any help on the ID, age, value would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The model number is inside the caseback. The serial number will give you the age.

Looks like a gold plated... not very valuable maybe a few hundred on eBay.

Should just need a battery, nice family heirloom.

I think (going on my memory) that this model only allowed the crown to turn the hour hand. A means of quickly changing time zones.
The minute hand is moved by pressing a small button in the centre of the crown.
