It's a franken maybe. A chronometer would have a reference number of 167.xxx for a non-date version. Funny thing is, there's some strange looking number with the 7 in the right position as if it were a dual numbered case.
The more I look at that, the more confused I am. Maybe that's why there are question marks in place of the first number!
The case looks like a correct case for a 165.0070. I am not sure why the inside of the case back looks so poorly done. Anyway, this ref was for a watch from the Geneve line and should house a cal 552 movement. Maybe the case was used for another ref ? At this point I would think this is franken
Did we ever settle on one or the other? While Seastellation rolls of the tongue better, Conmaster does sum up the spirit of these watches.
Watches like this scare me. Nobody likes a "con" - On that note I think we should have "conmaster" logos developed...bit like the Ghostbusters logo, only better Edit: forgive me if this has already been done!
Maybe I'll just ride this train and see where it goes. What's the worst that could happen??? haha. The other thing I noticed was the "t-swiss made-t", but there doesn't appear to be any place for lume on the dial. Thanks for the help guys.
