Hi!

I’m quite into logo dials - every kind and brand.
I was browsing a local dealer and stumbled across this Seamaster. My knowledge of omega isn’t very deep.

Maybe somebody can kindly help me out?

it seems to say “TAN”
Do you know which company/ organisation it is?
Is it aftermarket?
Are there more Seamasters which are branded?

thank you very much in advance!

moritz from Munich

Sorry, it's an in joke which will become obvious as we progress.

Thanks for the info

(and I’m honoured to be part of some inside jokes)

Is it worth to buy?
And that’s not a logo for that airline.

these are generally worth slightly less then unbranded examples. Except for major organizations which have large collector bases where it’s value is for collectors of that company.

these are fairly common in that they are not exactly rare.

they tend to be oil companies esp in the Middle East, middle eastern royal families, and airlines. Later ones can be airplane service companies.

dates tend to be 70’s through early 80’s.

earlier ones tend to exist with US tech companies in the 50-60’s Westinghouse GE etc.

with very few exceptions these are done after they left the factory.

gold ones tend to be retirement or large anniversary gifts and tend to be engraved.
