Seamaster redial?

Hi!

New to the forum, omega and the rabbit hole that is redials..

I just got a Seamaster 166.002 in (cal 562).
The dial looked ok to me apart from looking very clean. On close examining of the Seamaster logo and studying at a large number of dials of the same model I the font is off.
The shape and position of the S but also the other writing is subtly different, e.g. the r is narrower on the original.
Out of all the images I came across 2 instances with the exact font as mine but wonder if those could be redials as well.

Seller says that the back of the dial is stamped with Omega and serial number and should be genuine.

Am I looking at a redial or simply a genuine dial which was less produced by Omega? What do you think?

1st photo is the watch in question
2nd same model as original reference (I think)
Below are the two I found that are similar to mine, so also redials, or perhaps genuine?

Thanks for your input!

Hi and welcome here!

IMO no indication for redial in the OP watch, nice looking clean sunburst dial

If you zoom in you will see the small serifes at the font, these are very hard to reproduce

Thanks Passover for chiming in!

Sorry guys this is the one is what I refer to as original + an overlay of my watch so you can see the difference I'm talking about.

So... if original, is this just a less used but indeed original dial?

The comparison picture you refer to is taken from another angle, not as straight on as the OP. Maybe this have a visual effect

Maybe there has been slight font variations over the years of production, I don't know

Others will comment also so wait for more feedback to come

Looks original to me. Text and minute track are fine and crisp. There were minor variations in font over the years. Definitely some differences in the leading "S". Nice sunburst dial on yours.

Even with identical models you may encounter slight variations.
If the model had a long production run, Omega may have sourced dials from different manufacturers, they did not produce their own at that time.

Your dial is original IMO.
