Trying to get some info on a purchase. Paid 170 for a non working seamaster. Supposed to have worked 20yrs ago, then the crown popped off and hasnt worked since. fyi the crown just needed put back in place, now the watch works just fine. New to watch collecting and could use some knowledge about the markings on the watch.

135.017 is the case reference (Omega added an extra digit later, so it's also referred to as 135.0017)

    601 is the calibre

    301XXXXX is the serial number

Here it is in Omega's database

Thx for the quick reply! Did I make an ok buy? I know valuations are hard to pin down, and tho I bought it because I liked it and kinda thought I knew what was wrong. Its always nice to know I got a good deal on top. Thoughts?

Serial number (at the top) indicates a production date ca 1970.

Caliber 601, is a bulletproof hand wind movement found in a large variety of models.
