    Hi everyone,

I picked up this vintage quartz seamaster last week hoping it might just need a quick battery change. Looking at the movement upon purchase, not so much.

I was a bit disheartened so listed it for sale as parts on the Bay. However, I had the batteries changed today and it looks as though it is somewhat functioning? - currently time is 'ticking' but the screen is feint. I am unable to test other functions as the pushers are stuck.

I am by no means invested in the piece, but if the current state of the movement - as opposed to a complete right off, makes the servicing/restoration easier or more achievable I could be more inclined to hang on to it.

    What are your opinions?

    Thanks!
    Ed

I am not sure, but unless it's just a clean especially cleaning up those contacts, I think you would need a new module - if you could find one. Trip to Omega I think or get a quote by a watch repairer with SWATCH parts access - personally I think it might be worth the effort, maybe not financially but aesthetically I like it. just my two cents.
