I came across this pretty "Seamaster" today on fineauctionclub site.
Seems quite active on eBay too. It's described as a 1958 Seamaster with a 28.10 RA. There's no information to suggest it's a refurbished watch. The dealers purports to be an Omega specialist and should know that serial number 10.5 million dates this watch to 1944 - 1946 and that the Seamaster commenced production in 1948. To me it just doesn't look right for a Seamaster. Apart from the movement date, the case, lugs and crown look wrong. However they all look right for a late 1940s Omega Automatic that has has it's dial repainted and "rebranded" Seamaster in order to achieve a higher price. What do you guys think?

    Exactly.

    Clearly not a waterproof case.

So, it's either a redial or a franken?
I can only see small pics, but it looks attractive. Would be the best redial I've seen.

Seamaster dial jammed onto a normal movement.

    Overly polished.

    Avoid.

    Just a tad.
I hand polished for a good hour and the condition looks pretty good to me

That seller always has plenty of overpriced watches on ebay. They are usually polished to death, redialled or less desirable models. For undiscriminating buyers only.

Are you guys interested in seeing these? If so there's another Omega Automatic dressed as a Seamaster that's been listed on eBay today by a different seller. I can put the link on this thread or start another or indeed do nothing if you have no further interest in these!
