I was searching for a new watch when I stumbled across the Seamaster Omegamatic. It instantly caught my eye because of it's unusual design and jet black dial. I did some research and found out this watch is an autoquartz. People have mentioned this watch's capacitor can fail over time.

My question is how difficult/costly is it for this to be repaired? Is this something most watchmakers can fix?

Also does anyone have an Omegamatic? If so what has been your experience with this watch? Is it worth getting or should I pass on it?

Thanks for any and all help.

Changing a capacitor, if you have one to change it WITH, is easy.
