    Hi
I am new to this forum and would appreciate any information regarding the two watches.
These watches have been in the family for at least 35 - 40 years they belonged to my father and they have been sat in my draw for the last 10 years.
I would like to know if they are worth servicing and wearing, or advertising them for sale, the seamaster is gold plated but the strap is not original omega.
Any information regarding age and originallity would be appreciated.
    Thanks Doug.

Both are pretty nice watches, the Seamaster being worth a little more. Why not service them and wear them? Nothing beats an heirloom. There are a few vintage-sympathetic watchmakers as members here.

Seamaster: early as the very late 50's, probably early to mid 60's
De Ville: late 60's to mid 70's

Just estimates based on the style / fonts. If you get them to a watchmaker, post the serial numbers on each of the movements and we can tell you the year they were made.

The serial number dates it to 1962. The case reference number is 14.774 SC (sweep center seconds) from 1962. Plaque means plated, 40 microns thick.
