I am new to this board a was wondering if I could some help in dating my "new to me seamaster deville". I found it at a local shop in pristine condition. The Watch keeps very good time, +\- a second or 2 a day. What I would like to find out the approximate age. The date can be changed by pulling the stem all the way out if that is an indicator. I will add an image in a later post. Thanks!

Looks like a 1968 or very close to it. Here is my 68...different crown though and your Omega on the dial is a notch better... $_57 (32).JPG

I do not believe that is the correct setup though...no tritnium on the markers...on the hands it does though

Do you say that because of the style of crown?

If you magnify the pic you can see the tritium dots at 7, 8, 9 o'clock and the reflection of them on the inner ring at 1 and 2 o'clock at least.

Yes, there are no glow markers on the face, just on the hands.

Uhhhhh, guys? It says AUTOMATIC right on the dial so it can't be a manual wind caliber 613 unless it's a total franken.

Correct on automatic - but it could be a 562 or 563 also.

There should be little balls of lume at the end of the indices I think. Not sure on all of these though, and the T SWISS MADE T always throws me off since it's supposed to be about the amount of luminous material on the dial & hands.

Sorry i didn't have a picture at first . So that the movement was a 613 was just a guess . It 's a 565 automatic . Sorry for missleading you all .

This is a very nice origional watch and everything is as it should be! The other De Ville posted above is a bad redial, in fact it shouldn't even have Seamasters on the dial at all. Inmichigan you did very well on this one.

    Nice watch!

The quick set date indicates either 563 or 565 movement. The 563 was introduced in 1965. The Seamaster DeVille dial was used in the US until 1968 or a bit later. That gives you the range. For closer match you'd need the serial number on the movement.

The serial number dates your watch to 1969. What is the ref. number on the case back?
