I have had two Seamasters de Ville (Is that the correct plural?) which have had "waterproof" cast into the case like this one (This one is not mine):

Does anyone have pointers to where I can get some information about the casemaker?

This is my watch (the parts bag is for a 1968 constellation): upload_2020-4-15_17-24-53.png

    Thanks for your help.

The case makers mark is on the inside of the case back. These SMDV’s are a one piece monocoque case which means the movement comes out through the front. If you want to find information about the case a watchmaker will need to take it apart for you.

    Nice watch btw.

I did some search and got a lot of help. In that specific thread somebody posted a lot of possibilities. Looks a lot like the 166.020 I ended up ordering. No idea how to cross reference. Sorry.

Thanks for the pointers. I will get into the case when I regain access to my watches and follow up.
