I thought this seamaster font type is only made in the 50's This watch was made in 1974 !!! Something fishy or I missed something?

 

I agree, I don't like that Seamaster font at all. Besides Privatedays valid year concerns, the transition from the "a" to the "m" is clunky and the "m" is supposed to have three humps with the coathanger S.

 

Au contraire. That funny font is all original and from Omega in this era. 1970s Seamaster DeVille Tiffany&Co and thats the reason I posted it

Still looks clunky to me . Interesting insight as I would have steered away from this one.
