http://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-SEAMA...123334352?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item48706554d0Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Can anyone tell me what it is about this watch that's attracted 55 bids and $1,400 (as of 1 hour 20 minutes before the end of the auction)? Is somebody just bidding it up to create interest or is there something unusual about this one?

    Thanks!

I am pretty sure that the seller bought his own watch on this one. Pretty sure!

I think the only possibly real bidder dropped out at $700, and that is high for a redial in my humble

Thanks. Seemed odd that someone would bid up their own item that high (if that's what happened).

    Cheers.

Please excuse my noob question, but how can you tell this is a redial?

It's hard to see much detail in the dial in these photos, so I'm guessing Omega never made this one in black?

The seller said "Professionally redone" in the dial's description. It looks pretty good to me though so hopefully someone would have more to say about it.

Ah, I missed that in the description. I see now that the ad said about the dial: 'factory original', yet he also said "professionally re-done", so we can only speculate as to 'what'...
