Need some advice on a watch. My FIL has an Omega Seamaster De Ville in his jewelry store, great condition, gold filled for $300. I’m thinking it’s a good deal but I’m inexperienced in pricing vintage Omegas. I don’t have pics but he’s verified it’s a legit Omega. Should I jump on this? Thanks y’all!

Without any images this is impossible to answer other than, say, if it has a purple dial, I’d pass. Seriously, though, a movement and dial image at the very least is required to assist you. Other wise it’s just throwing darts. Blindfolded.

Light colored dial, silver or a very light gold color.

It's a fair price, I wouldn't say an amazing deal. Gold filled comes in 3rd after steel and solid gold for most collectors. If it is in good condition, original condition, and not overly polished, then it is worth it. Although pics required to confirm.

Well my Father-in-law is going to bring it with him when he visits in a couple of weeks so I can look it over. I’ll post pics then.
I asked him if he had a Rolex in his shop in the same price range... he didn’t answer.

Yeah the Rolex for $300 was a joke. My FIL didn’t think it was very funny either.
