·Continuing my mini-sell off today with the sale of this lovely Omega Seamaster De Ville 166.020 from the 1960's.
The Seamaster is a ref 166.020 with calibre 565 and has a fantastic high gloss black gilt dial and an original BOR 1037 bracelet
The beautiful black glossy dial is in excellent shape and with the metallic sheen of the gilt text is really stunning on the wrist. Steel hands, baton indices and an applied logo finish the look. All the tritium lume is still present.
The steel case is very good with the original scallop crown and a well defined Seamonster on the case back. It has a new at service Omega signed crystal.
I’m selling this one as it came to me from the family of the original owner with its excellent condition full length 7-row BOR ref 1037 with nice and tight fitting 570 ends.
The watch is a top loader and as I remain technically illiterate I have no movement pictures but the quick set calibre 565 is winding, setting and running extremely well, keeping good time. Fully serviced in the autumn of 2021.
