Here are a few pics of a recent acquisition that's a marvel to see. Now having had a chance to hold, thought to show what I've got so far. Hope this also answers some questions which I typically get on these DDs

This always grabs attention. A lovely Dial, this the fabulous 'sparkle'
Note the Omega logo in center of the crystal

And curled S on Seamaster ...

    IMG_4564.JPG

Dial patina seems consistent, even. Lume plots properly placed I think and also show similar consistency/colour.

The minute markers on the edge are good with 12 o'clock position slightly thicker

    IMG_4565.JPG

Thie example shows a well machined Lug, top and side brushed. Middle facet of the lug has a mirror-like finish,

    IMG_4569.JPG

Minute markers look great here too

    IMG_4570.JPG

Emblem of the hippocampus in excellent condition. Great to roll the fingers over, good thickness in the dimensions

    IMG_4571.JPG

Lume plots on dial and brushing on bezel is also good
    And more lug facets ...

    IMG_4572.JPG M IMG_4573.JPG IMG_4574.JPG IMG_4575.JPG IMG_4578.JPG

Let's get up close and personal .....

    Sparkle everywhere

    Beveled Date window

    IMG_4579.JPG IMG_4580.JPG IMG_4581.JPG

Love it when there are absolutely no tool marks. No unsightly dings. Should be a cal 751 under there, but will have to wait to find out

    IMG_4590.JPG

Don't see scratch marks betwix the lugs

    IMG_4591.JPG IMG_4592.JPG IMG_4594.JPG IMG_4600.JPG IMG_4602.JPG

Not many scratches to see. No dings at all. Perfect? Let's just say that I'm satisfied. You get what you pay for.

    Thanks for looking.

That is the most beautiful Seamaster I've ever seen! May I ask how you came to have it? It had to have been forgotten in the back of a cabinet in a 100 year old jewelery store! Surely that watch was never worn?!

Very nice catch. The sparkle dial Seamasters are undervalued IMO. They really wear nice and the dial is amazing....
Here is a crappy photo of the non-chronometer version (166.032)

What's the lug width on this Seamaster, 19mm? I ask because the new Railmaster '57 LE bracelet design looks a lot like one of the original bracelet options for this watch and the new Railmaster has 19mm lugs. Maybe a route to a nice steel bracelet?

Gorgeous example! I love these references. It checks a lot of boxes for me and is on the upper end of my list. Thank you for the great photos to use as a reference.

Very nice, probably one of the few watches with a Day display that I really like. Condition is amazing

    19mm, yes.

You'd have to be creative with the end links, though. The lugs are much longer on the Railmaster, so you'd need to find bigger end links.

PS - I am waiting for @styggpyggeno1 to come along and show off his NOS example...

Ah - you mean this ex-NOS - now used example? Pictures not showing very much sparkle though. But it is there IRL.
