Can anyone give me advice on opening the case of my Seamaster Cosmic please?
I bought this new in 1969 and it has become tired now.
The case back used to say Tool 105?
I'm not sure what to do with it and don't want to damage the movement.
Advice and comment would be appreciated.
Regards J.

It is accessed by removing the crystal first.
You should take it to a watchmaker that is experienced in working on vintage Omega watches.
Where are you based?

I'm in Cheshire.
Just an extra thought, will I be able to buy any parts needed from forum members?
Thanks for the advice.
Regards
John.

It’s possible but it’s also pretty tricky to get spares these days. Most likely you’d need a new mainspring which is relatively easy to find.

for vintage Omega I typically use Simon Freese but you could likely find someone in Cheshire.

If you go with Simon Freese, or indeed any good watchmaker with a parts account, they should be able to source and fit any parts required. It can take some time, but you’re better off putting yourself into their hands.

I love the late 60s Cosmics. Any photos of yours you’d like to share? We love photos here.

Thanks for the comments from both of you. I'll try Simon Freese as suggested.
Will do photo later today when back home.
Regards.

Nice example! Original buckle a bonus, too. Once it’s been to good watchmaker, she’ll come back looking even better!

I really like this shape case for the Cosmics - and you don’t see that many of them for some reason.
