hi all! Ive just finished a project but am reluctant on installing the crystal. It has an external tension ring which i have not seen before. Can i just use the Press tool Or do i have to find the crystal compressor tool? Thanks! image.jpg image.jpg

Looks to me like you've got it upside down and inside out. What makes you think it belongs on the outside as you have it?

I think you need to RTFM as they say.

Tension ring (also referred to as armored) crystals are pressed in using a press like you have shown. However as others have pointed out, the ring goes in the groove on the inside of the crystal, not on the outside.

    Cheers, Al
