The Seamaster collection is huge... many many references. I always associate this collection with dive watches, hence the following: According to me it would make sense if the Aqua Terra, Railmaster and Bullhead are in some other collection. The Aqua Terra line for example has so many references it can be a collection of it's own. I also don't see the true sea master link with the Aqua Terra's and Railmaster, more dress pieces than dive watches. What do you think?
Completely agree. Given the appearance of the original Seamaster watch, the AT and Railmaster absolutely belong in the line.
I see your point. But you cannot qualify an Aqua Terra like the one below as sporty watch or find a relationship with the sea. It's a pure dress watch:
Agreed. There is no need to find any relationship to the sea. The first of the Seamaster line was simply defined by increased water resistance, due to the use of an O ring gasket, and not by how it looked or intended use.
The AT line is a pretty broad one, and you've chosen one of the more extreme examples to make your point that a non-dive watch line is made up of non-dive watches, eh?
I agree. The Seamaster line is not a diver only line. The sublines like the SMP and PO take care of that. From its name, ATs should be flexible in land and water. But i would have preferred to have given the railmaster its own line. But I guess Omega like that. It made the globemaster part of Constellation line and the spacemaster part of Speedmaster line. I also wont be surprised if they resurrect the flightmaster under the Speedmaster line.
So you want a watch that is technically called Water Land To not be lumped in with a watch called Planet Ocean
