Hi Folks, I have really taken a liking to this reference over the past few months. I suppose the interest started when I saw this article on Hodinkee https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/Roger-Smiths-Personal-Watch So, I have started investigating these with the view that should the right one come up, I would buy it. What I quickly found out was that there were a few dial variations and possibly hand variations? The one that Rodger Smith owns simply says Omega Deville on the Dial whereas there are others with Omega Seamaster etc. I spotted one for sale a few weeks ago and narrowly missed out on it as I was still unsure about original hands and dial configurations but to my eye it was an attractive watch. Can anyone give me a quick run down on what is period correct for this reference or anything that I should be looking for when purchasing. I am struggling to find any definitive information on this model. Thanks!
I think this will help with your period question. http://naligazone.com/index.php/data-watch/omega/caliber-3/cal-321 There are several references that have the same 321 movement, with different hands, etc. As you can see, some that only say Seamaster on the dial, are actually part of the DeVille line.
