Seamaster Cermet “Black Tulip” Bracelet Clasp Question

This is a long shot regarding an alternative part, but here goes:

I’d like to know if anyone has successfully tried a Constellation clasp on the Cermet Black Tulip (YR396.0945 / 196.0249).

I’ve just picked up another Black Tulip, but without the steel “clasp cover” — the part with the Omega logo on one side and the pin on the other.

Here it is from my other Black Tulip:

I understand that this part is no longer available (complete bracelet and links also NLA, I believe), but it looks very similar to Constellation mechanisms. Here’s another view of the Black Tulip:

The bracelet is 1396/017, but, not surprisingly for a ceramic bracelet, there’s no alternative given in the “usual bracelet list”.

Has anyone attempted this alternative clasp cover mod?

Even better, does anyone have the part?! (I’ve already made a WTB post)

Thanks!

I found a possible “clasp cover” part — see pic below (haven’t purchased it yet). Looks like it might be worth a try…😕 This is from Constellation bracelet 1448/431. Can anyone tell me the width of this clasp cover? (The Black Tulip clasp cover is 16mm).

If anyone can see something I’m missing that makes them think it definitely won’t work, please let me know! 👍 This could end up an expensive game of trial and error!

Here are some more pictures of the correct clasp cover from the actual “Black Tulip”:
