Seen this in an up coming auction and the dial caught my eye. I am not up on early Seamasters so bow to others here. Unfortunately no other pictures. The hands are wrong, something wacky with the date and hour markers are mixed styles. Is this a frankenmaster............
Have you looked at other examples? Tried googling the reference? It's easy to address at least two of the above issues...
Reverse image search gives very similar examples except for the text, that S stands out as a indication of redial for me.
Yep. That and the pristine black dial... But the hour markers are correct and the reason for the odd date can be seen by reading the time - it's about to change for midnight.
