    Hi all,

I'm considering this Seamaster which is selling for USD 300 in Brazil. What do you guys think? Is it a good buy?

    Thanks a lot![IMG][IMG]

    Quick correction -- it's Cal. 491. I mistyped it.

Pass - repainted dial, corroded case and movement with incorrect parts.

Even as a somewhat nu-bee that movement doesn't look right

I ended up passing it, but managed to get a Genève cal. 1012 for some 150 bucks. It will keep me company while my Connie is being serviced (I'm following members' advice and sent it to a good watchmaker). Was it an awful purchase? The dial is a bit cracked, but it doesn't really bother me.

I'm no expert on those but for $150 that seems pretty nice...

Looking this up on Omega vintage data base this watch is dated to ~1972 according to case back #s
