Looking for a watch similar to this for my collection. Can be on beads of rice bracelet or leather band. Particularly like the beefy lugs on these early Seamasters..especially 342-344.. I also don't mind the aged look..patina on these looks awesome! Inbox me if you're looking to flip one!
Have you take a look at MSNwatch listing: http://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-seamaster-in-ranchero-case.2891/ It's even in a more rare Ranchero case.
This one looks original but can't be sure. A similar dial and a 344. http://www.ebay.com/itm/160942215784?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
By the way, the seller is open to offers. I haven't offered anything yet, but if somebody does want it there's no harm in throwing a number at him.
Thanks guys - have to admit it was Kyles 344 that I fell in love with. But I'm willing to get one with 'less age' In the dial and wait a few years! or hurry up the dial ageing process somehow?! It's such a beautiful dial and case. So simple..Also really suits the steel beads bracelet..will take the plunge and buy one with 'character'. I think msnwatch's ranchero case version is lovely too..hmm decisions...
There are marks all over that dial, but that's the norm for those. If it can be bought under $400, maybe $450 you're doing fine.
Fresh out! Honestly, I'd take another look at Mike's manual wind. Less to go wrong, easier to find parts, and usually cheaper to service/maintain.
It's just the particular dial & case shape I like..I'm getting too fussy! It's also a little bit more..
Have you seen Kyles? It's got that 'aged' look that really suits the SS cases..this one actually looks less aged (more marks) but that worries me..photos can be so deceptive..
