Hey guys, I know this has been covered before, but my SMP bracelet is either to tight or to loose after a couple of combinations.
I have heard that 2 half links are very slightly longer than a full link. is this correct? thanks

Attention Omega: we know you're monitoring us and would like you to add this to the list of members who would like micro-adjustments on your bracelet clasps!

Oh, forgot to answer the OP's question! I've heard the same thing about 2 half links being slightly longer than 1 full link. Weird, huh?

In addition, you can use foam adhesive pads under the watch caseback to make it slightly tighter

A half link is more accurately called a two thirds link. . .

Why can't Omega do something like the Tudor Pelagos? Brilliant!

Omega's old 1039 bracelet's did the same thing, it just that they didn't end up being the most resilient lol

Like the vintage NSA clasps - great feature, that plus multiple small links makes them often the most comfortable vintage bracelets around. I too wonder why not more widespread.

I kept this for years...not sure of it's origin.

If your having sizing problems, just count the full and half links (if any) in your bracelet, find your size and adjust accordingly:

    Half-link = 4.1mm
    Full link = 9.2mm

Seamaster Bracelet Sizes (in millimeters) for bracelet no. 1503/825, for ref. 2220.80.00 & 2531.80.00

    13 full = 119.6
    12 full + two halfs = 118.6
    11 full + four halfs = 117.6
    10 full + 6 halfs = 116.6
    12 full + one half = 114.5
    11 full + three halfs = 113.5
    10 full + five halfs = 112.5
    12 full = 110.4
    11 full + two halfs = 109.4
    10 full + four halfs = 108.4
    9 full + 6 halfs = 107.4
    11 full + one half = 105.3
    10 full + three halfs = 104.3
    9 full + five halfs = 103.3
    11 full = 101.2
    10 full + two halfs = 100.2
    9 full + four halfs = 99.2
    8 full + 6 halfs = 98.2
    10 full + one half = 96.1
    9 full + three halfs = 95.1
    8 full + five halfs = 94.1
    10 full = 92
    9 full + two halfs = 91
    8 full + four halfs = 90
    7 full + 6 halfs = 89
    9 full + one half = 86.9
    8 full + three halfs = 85.9
    7 full + five halfs = 84.9
    9 full = 82.8
    8 full + two halfs = 81.8
    7 full + four halfs = 80.8
    6 full + 6 halfs = 79.8
    8 full + one half = 77.7
    7 full + three halfs = 76.7
    6 full + five halfs = 75.7
    8 full = 73.6
    7 full + two halfs = 72.6
    6 full + four halfs = 71.6
    5 full + 6 halfs = 70.6
    7 full + one half = 68.5
    6 full + three halfs = 67.5
    5 full + five halfs = 66.5
    7 full = 64.4
    6 full + two halfs = 63.4
    5 full + four halfs = 62.4
    4 full + 6 halfs = 61.4
    6 full + one half = 59.3

Hi I am new to this forum - hope to contribute lots. A Breitling fan but could not resist the latest Seamaster (black face) with the new ceramic bezel.

My seamaster 300 diver has the 1515/816 bracelet. Half links on this bracelet appear to be just less than half of the full size link similar to the post above. Yet others above that say it is more than half. I too am having problems with the perfect size. I have ordered more half links from Omega as per the formula above (I would need 8 full and 5 halves) , but I must say the links piled up on either side of the clasp does not look that great and you can not intersperse them amongst the larger links. Are there any aftermarket alternatives ?

Vintage Omega Mesh is a good option and looks great on Seamaster Pros, if you're interested in looking at rubber, the Isofrane rubber is excellent and fairly cheap at $110

I have a Planet Ocean GMT. The half links are about 2/3rd of a full link and my AD happily added an extra half link giving me 6 full + 2 "half" links on the 12 o'clock side and 5 full links on the 6 o'clock for a perfect fit. Combinations of full and half links can give a custom fit and centre the clasp on the inside of the wrist for a comfy fit. Took about 3 visits to get it just right but any good AD will be more than happy to keep repeating the process to get it just right.

hi Jon R - I have the same problem trying to get a perfect fit. Is your PO a 2500 or 8500?
Did you get charged for your extra half link from the AD?

Hi - mine is the GoodPlanet GMT and my AD (who the watch was purchased from) didn’t charge me for the link or re-adjustment.
