Many years ago I inherited a nice Seamaster Automatic that has an unknown Arabic symbol on the face. My uncle worked in Libya for many years and i think he was presented this by his company. If anyone can shed any light on either what it means and if this non standard addition would affect the value of the watch. Any info is appreciated.
It was not uncommon in the Middle East to have logos or royalcoat of arms/symbols put on watches given as gifts in that time period. I agree it's most likely a company logo of some sort. It does little if anything to the price of a watch.
