    I am going to buy a vintage Omega Seamaster cal 501. It is 17 jewels unadjusted movement (writen on the movement). Is it authenthic piece?     It's authentic but it's a very bad redial. I'd pass.

    All the text is in the wrong font and minute hashes are wrongly sized. In addition, the seconds hand is incorrect.

    I see, CoElPueblo.... And how about the movement? Was Omega produce the 501 in 17 jewels variant?

    Hmm, I don't think so. The 17 jewel version is called cal. 500 and was primarily for the US market. The rotor with the "17 jewels" could be a replacement from a cal. 500.
