I thank you for digging this up, it looks like a good read and also thanks to @Robert-Jan for putting it together. I haven't seen this before but as a massive SMP fan and owner the majority of variants it is great to see the model given proper scrutiny. How did I miss this first time around!

I came to Omega ownership via the SMP and while I have moved into other supposedly more collectible or more worthy lines, I will never give up the SMP.
