Seamaster 300m diver vs seamaster 300 master co axial

A great discussion. I loved the look of the master co-axial in photos, and was ready to buy, but trying it on at the AD it felt way too thick, and I'm not sure why they made it bigger at 41mm rather than the original 39. Would get the 57' edition if that were a choice.

On the flipside, I'm not a Rolex fan but had an opportunity to try on a 1967 Submariner. It was thin, and the bezel and lugs slightly curved to flow with the wrist. Reluctantly I can understand now why people love them so much.

You say that but of the two I would honestly take the one on the left (in fact I did). The SM300 sits too damn high.

Wow! Some difference!

Just to show how fickle I am, I have now moved on the SM300 LE shown in my earlier photo and picked up a SM300 MC (the Spectre was only borrowed for the shot). My earlier criticism of the thickness still stands but I have come to appreciate the sheer quality of the MC. The gloss ceramic LM bezel really looks classy and the sunken lume plots add little 3D something to the dial also. It really does feel a high class item and the heft when on the bracelet adds to this impression. At their current second hand values, I would suggest the SM300 MC is a fantastic value proposition when you think you can pick one up for only around $750 more than a 2254 or 2531 and nearly $2000 less than the SM 60th LE. The MC does feel from league above both those other choices what with the use of more advanced materials and the in full house movement. It's not so clear cut when compared to the current SMP, that has been upgraded substantially and uses the thinner 8806 movement which is a step in the right direction vs the 8400 IMO but I think I still prefer the look of the Blake generation, I wont be giving up my 2230 any time soon.

Love my newly acquired Seamaster 300! I have yet to resize the bracelet coz it just looks so good on the nato strap!

Both watches are awesome but I would go with the master co axial.

I had finally to decided to save up for the 300M, but now I can't make up my mind again. I think both bezels and dials look great. Not sure which lug design I prefer.

All I do know is that this thread is dangerous for my bank account.

This one...

That's on another level! I tried this on the other day... So lightweight! Almost weightless! At 43.5mm, I thought it was gonna be huge, but looks surprisingly compact on my 7" wrist...

Agreed! Very wearable and comfortable. I too was concerned about the measured size, but have no issues wearing it on my same 7” wrist.
