Hi Guys,

is there anyone on the forum that knows if it’s possible to get the seamaster 300m blue bezel refinished ?

it’s scratched and the paint has been worn off.

I’m in the UK but anywhere will do if they can do a good job.

Thanks

Do you have any pictures? You can’t beat seeing a well used Omega

Assuming you are referring to the aluminum bezel? If so, it's anodized, so not really painted...you would have to find someone who can do this process. It would like cost more than a new bezel assembly would.

Anodised sounds quite complicated. I was hoping it was like having a redial. This is a different kettle of fish !

Apologies to OP for hijacking the post, but want to ask Al, does anyone ever relume those models. I've got that one and the lume is dead, but would it ruin the whole look of it now, and best to leave as vintage after 25 years or do they replace dial.

You can replace that....
New omega bezels are crazy money, around £250 I’ve been led to understand

I'm sure someone could relume it, but it's not something I've done on these. Of course replacement dials are still available, so that's an option as well.

Can't you just get a new insert like on the pre ceramic Rolex Subs, GMTs etc? I had a client get his Planet Ocean bezel replaced for about $75. There are tutorials on YouTube etc to teach you how to do it yourself.

For the aluminum bezels, Omega doesn't sell inserts by themselves. There are plenty of fake inserts out there, so buyer beware...

From what I’ve been told these inserts are quite poor fitting and definitely don’t look the part. But I’ve never seen one in person, but if someone has had a good experience please let us know.

Was this an original oem bezel ?

Ah, thanks. I wondered if 25 years on they would be available
