··Omega Qualified WatchmakerYeah, I suppose so. Bummer for the OP, but I think I'd be a little more concerned about the pitting and corrosion around the sealing surface of the caseback. Does this strike anyone else?
Unclear if that’s pitting, or some sort of oil on the case back that was on the seal...
If it pitting, that amount would be very unusual in a watch of this era. New case backs can be bought that would solve both the pitting and engraving issues...
