··Vintage Omega AficionadoI like the idea of the watchco seamasters - all new parts with movements from other models. I have decided to do a "better version."
This started out as a straight lug vintage seamaster case ref. 14755 with a cal. 552 movement (original to the case) and a refinished dial and old hands plus no bezel. I then did the following:
1. Had the movement fully serviced (done 6 months ago) including a new original crystal.
2. Had the bezel repainted including an approximation of how the original bezel numbers "aged".
3. Found a now long out of stock non-date seamaster dial and new hands and had them installed.
The resulting watch is I think is better than the watchco versions because the underlying parts are correct vintage parts in excellent condition - a straight lug seamaster case (second generation ref. 14755 with the original movement - not sourced from a lesser watch).
The watch will come with a generic leather strap.
My price is $3500 paypalled and shipped almost anywhere in the world.
