I'm no expert but I think it is all genuine. Even the bezel.

I bought a 165.024 HF recently and posted this thread and received much needed advice from more knowledgable members

Mine, I discovered, was fine except for an incorrect crown. The one your considering has the right crown. The movement number appears ok as the watch began production in 1964.

As far as the condition, this watch is obviously well worn and has some damage. All the more reason why it appears original. Good luck!

I would pass on this one because of the patina...

    Unattractive imho..

Take a look at other examples..

Don't like this green/brown shade.. Looks nasty..

Maybe other guys here think it is attractive but I don't..

Originality itself is a nice point to start with, but IMO, the whole 'ensemble' should also have an appealing character.
On this watch, there is lots of 'character', but a bit too much to my personal taste.

I think the hands and dial can be cleaned up, but the bash to the bezel is a shame.

I think it all depends on the price really, if it was cheap enough it would make a nice beater.
It is not unknown for elements of 2 or 3 watches being mated to make 1 stunner but I don't really see 1 stunning element in the one pictured, sorry.

and if your watchmaker was able to do a nice cleaning of the dial... good luck to find matching hands for such reference...

Existing hands could be colour matched, they don't look too far gone to me.

I see what you mean... well it only depends on the watchmaker's magic... or not ! :D

hand I’m not to fussed about as I’ve already got set , it’s the dial that concerns me !!! the seller is asking £1450 it could end up costing me £££ to sort or I can wait and see what come along that’s my dilemma

I would pause and contemplate before jumping at that price for this example.
