    Hi guys,

I have bought a Seamaster 300, which seems to have all the original parts still. Just one thing I'm wondering, serial number is 22.9mil, but is has a screw down crown, is there any way this could be correct? Or should it always be a Naiad?

And if it should be a naiad, is it do-able to find one?

(Pictures will be shown when the watch comes in)

    Best
    Robert

To my understanding, the seamaster 300, 165.024 (no date)/166.024 (with date) , left the Omega factory with the Naiad crown.

Current production Naiaid crown's are easily obtained from eBay.

Here is a reputable seller with one for sale.

I beleive the earlier ones should be naiaid and the later ones (late 1967, early 1968) should be screw down.

Not correct, later (1970'ish) would have had screw down fitted and also fitted after service as an improved part (Niaiad leaked at low depth)

Additionally, I would not change one back to Niaiad.
