hello everyone I would like to know if there is a seamaster 300 ref. 165.024 with date? and no big triangle thanks and which caliber fits 565?

A Seamaster 300 with date would be a 166.024.

Pero da questo documento che metto in allegato capisco che esiste ref.165.024 con data e cal.565 o sbaglio a leggere ???

My understanding is that 165.024 used the 552 movement (no date) whereas the 166.024 used the 565 movement with date function. So the watches while similar in appearance are actually different and the 165.024 would not be found with a date function.

Lo chiedo perche ho visto un modello che vorrei comprare e ha ref.165.024 e monta cal.565 con data.....io vedo questo documento e mi sembra di capire che nel 1974 cassa con ref 165.024 monta cal 565 senza cambiare referenza!!

Also, American-market examples with cal 550 or 563, respectively.

If there is a 165.024 case-back with a cal 565, the case-back was probably switched.

If you are thinking of buying the watch I would be careful because it is possible that some parts have been swapped. Does the seller have any documentary evidence to support their claim?

Very true, I was not thinking about he American market 😉

What do you know about this document? It appears like someone added a hint not to swap the case references and I see no contradictions here.

The basic statement is (thus referring to ref. 165.024):

...from 1974...

Case ref. ST 165.024 has been used with mvt. cal 565 = ST 166.024

Attention: The case then carries the ref ST 165.024 so not change the ref.

Same case as ref. ST 165.024 + movement caliber 565 = case ref. ST 166.024 = Attention = do not swap the casebacks.

Quindi il fondello e' scambiato!! L'orologio in ottime condizioni cosi con fondello scambiato quanto puo valere?
