can this one be used for 165.024/166.024 or only for the earlier 165.014? fantasizing about making my own 'watchco' sm300, and can more or less easily procure the other ingredients, but for the bare case itself... http://www.ebay.com/itm/262395773204Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
For future reference, given that the item is of interest to you, I'd suggest just posting a photo, rather than leading readers directly to it.
No, is the unfortunate answer not a 165.024, a 166.024 or the watchco 1660324/1650324. You could buy the movement and even dial+hands and fit them. A bezel for this case went for just over £500 today without a bezel insert, which means it would need to go to italy for a years holiday. It would be cheeper for you to buy a 16?0324 case already built 2nd hand. Tony c does have a point though
Yep, I'm sure nobody else has set up their eBay searches with "vintage" and "Seamaster" and "300" and various combinations with misspellings thrown in just for chance.
I had a seamaster 300 dial/hands/movement without case and brought it to my official Omega watchmaker and he got a 165.0324 complete case (incl. bezel and crown) for $800. That is far far cheaper than watchco pricesPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Sometimes the best deal is not on the web..
Any official Omega service center does have it... but they can't sell it dirctly (they do only sell bracelets or straps directly)
